KYLE M. LONG, CPA
Owner & Financial Planner
Kyle received a BS in Accounting from Taylor University, where he graduated magna cum laude. Kyle has 5+ years of public accounting experience and 3+ years of financial planning and investment management experience.
As a young financial professional, Kyle noticed that most financial advisors sell expensive commissioned products, don’t offer values based investing and have high minimum asset requirements. Kyle realized that he couldn’t be eligible to receive good, affordable financial advice himself. Because of this, Kyle wasn’t able to help those closest to him—family and friends. Kyle desired to integrate fee-only financial planning and values-based investing and work for a firm where he could help anyone, regardless of net worth. When Kyle couldn’t find a firm like this, he decided to start his own and launched Long Planning in 2019. Kyle loves the financial planning profession because it allows him to integrate his technical skills and financial nerdiness with his love for people. Financial planning allows Kyle to make a tangible and positive impact in peoples lives.
Kyle lives in Geneva, IL with his wife, Bridget, and two young children. Kyle is very involved in his local church and can be seen regularly at local parks chasing down his 3 year old. Kyle also enjoys a good conversation at a local coffee shop or brewery, golf and biking the Fox River trail.
